MOL FER Fire Station
General design, interior design concept, and design supervision in a specialized industrial service facility
The MOL FER Fire Station is a facility with a special purpose, providing fire protection and disaster management services related to MOL’s industrial infrastructure. During the design process, key priorities included operation optimized for rapid response, a functionally clear spatial organization, as well as meeting high-level operational safety and technological requirements.
The facility should not be interpreted as a conventional office or industrial building, but rather as a complex service center where standby units, vehicle storage, training, and operational control functions operate within a unified, well-organized system.

Client / investor: MOL Plc.
Floor area: approx. 3,392 m²
bim.GROUP was responsible for preparing the permitting and construction design documentation, developing the interior design concept, and providing design supervision. The development covered a building of approximately 3,392 m², where the strict separation of functional zones and support for operational use were key design considerations.
Functional system and spatial organization
When designing the fire station, a key priority was ensuring rapid deployment and short response times. Therefore, the connections between vehicle storage areas, changing rooms, and standby spaces were designed to be direct and unobstructed.
The interior design concept is based on clean, function-driven, and durable material usage that simultaneously meets the demands of intensive use and the requirements of an ergonomic working environment. The spatial organization supports 24-hour operational functionality and the rapid activation of different readiness levels.
Project significance
The MOL FER Fire Station is a specialized facility in which engineering and interior design directly contribute to life safety and industrial security tasks. The project is a clear example of how functional minimalism, high technical discipline, and operational efficiency meet within a critical infrastructure element.
