Design validation, permitting, and expert engineering support for an international food industry development
The Nestlé factory in Bük is one of the largest and most advanced food production facilities in Hungary, serving as a key European site within Nestlé’s global manufacturing network. The continuous development and expansion of the facility form part of the company’s long-term strategy for capacity increase and technological modernization, operating with a high level of automation and strict food industry quality requirements.
The project involved the expansion of an existing industrial site within an international design and coordination environment, where aligning different national standards and engineering practices was a key challenge.

bim.GROUP participated in the project on behalf of the international design office PM Group Poland.
During the adaptation of the internationally prepared design documentation to Hungarian requirements, our responsibilities included:
- adaptation of design documentation to Hungarian permitting regulations
- review of regulatory compliance of architectural and engineering documentation across disciplines
- expert engineering consulting to support the design and permitting process
A key aspect of the work was managing the differences between international and Hungarian standards, as well as ensuring that manufacturing and construction realities were properly reflected in the final documentation.

The project was implemented through close international cooperation, where:
- architectural design was carried out by PM Group Poland
- the investor side was represented by Nestlé Hungary
- bim.GROUP provided local regulatory and engineering compliance support on the Hungarian side

The expansion of Nestlé’s Bük facility is an industrial development in which the alignment of global corporate standards and local regulatory frameworks plays a critical role.
