Krisztián Király, a structural engineer at bim.GROUP and a PhD candidate at BME’s Department of Structural Engineering, is no stranger to presenting on the international stage. This time, representing BME, he delivered a presentation on demountable composite floor systems at the SDSS 2025 conference in Barcelona.

The 2025 International Colloquium on Stability and Ductility of Steel Structures (SDSS 2025) was organised by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and held at the World Trade Center Barcelona from 8 to 10 September 2025.

The conference series is supported by the Structural Stability Research Council (SSRC) and the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS). It provides a forum for researchers and practising engineers to discuss the latest theoretical, numerical and experimental findings concerning the stability and ductility of steel and steel–concrete composite structures.

Particular emphasis is placed on innovative approaches to the analysis and design of steel structures, as well as the background, development and practical application of new standards and recommendations.
