Kocsis András Balázs, Head of Business Development at bim.GROUP, was invited by Construsoft to speak at its TEKLA User Day professional event in Vienna. András shared his experience of the National Athletics Centre and its algorithmic design with the audience.

His presentation, entitled “BIM ‘Crown’ of Budapest – Algorithmic Modelling of the Athletic Stadium Roof”, offered a behind-the-scenes look at the design of the National Athletics Centre. Particular emphasis was placed on the algorithmic model that enabled the stadium’s spectacular roof structure to evolve from a digital concept into detailed fabrication drawings.

The project is an outstanding example of the synergy between BIM and parametric design. It generated considerable professional interest and, according to the feedback received, also inspired the international audience.
