We are proud to share that the National Athletics Centre has once again received global recognition, winning the prestigious architectural award presented by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS).

This recognition represents a major achievement not only for the Hungarian construction industry but also for the professional community of KÉSZ Group, as the Group’s member companies and partners played a key role in delivering the project.

The award is the result of several years of dedicated and innovative work by KÉSZ Group member companies, strategic partners and collaborating organisations throughout the various stages of design and construction. The project became an exemplary demonstration of engineering precision, digitalised processes and outstanding professional collaboration.

The closely coordinated work of the participating teams made it possible to deliver the stadium in accordance with the original plans and to a world-class standard—an achievement that has now also received international recognition.

In collaboration with Exon 2000 Kft., bim.GROUP was responsible for the permitting and detailed designs of the steel structure. The company also prepared the technological and fabrication designs and actively supported the manufacturing, erection and surveying processes. Reflecting the project’s complexity, bim.GROUP also coordinated the work of the specialist designers involved, ensuring that every detail was delivered to the highest professional standard.

KÉSZ Metaltech constructed the stadium’s iconic load-bearing steel structure, one of the venue’s most defining architectural elements. The precise, millimetre-perfect integration of the cable-supported roof and rigid steel structure reflects the exceptional joint engineering work of KÉSZ Metaltech, KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft. and Redaelli Tecna S.p.A.
