This year, bim.GROUP’s engineers were once again invited to support the next generation of engineers in learning about parametric and algorithmic design. The lectures formed part of the Civil Engineering Automation and Modelling course within the MSc programme in Construction Information Technology Engineering at BME’s Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Starting with fundamental concepts, definitions and software solutions, Juhász Márton István and Lewandowski Dávid provided a comprehensive overview of the possibilities offered by parametric design through real-world project examples. This was followed by a practical demonstration led by Varga-Arendt Eszter, who guided the students through each stage of the parametric design process.

As most participants in the course are international students, the lectures were delivered in English. During the semester, students work in teams of four to complete several project assignments, one of which focuses on the parametric design methods presented by the engineers of KÉSZ Group.
