Young Explorers Visit the bim.GROUP Office – A Special School Trip into the World of Design
It is never too early to inspire an interest in a profession. This week, bim.GROUP colleagues welcomed some very special guests: a class of third-grade primary school pupils who came to discover what engineers and architects do in their everyday work.
The idea originated from the school as part of its annual career orientation day. Juhász Márton István, Head of Innovation at bim.GROUP, has a daughter who attends the school. After consulting her teacher and the company’s management, Márton suggested inviting his daughter’s entire class to take a look behind the scenes of the design process.
The children learned how a building progresses from the drawing board to completion, explored the modern tools used by our colleagues and were introduced to technologies such as 3D printing.
To conclude the programme, the group visited the nearby National Athletics Centre, a project particularly close to bim.GROUP because our company contributed to its design. The children could see first-hand how an idea becomes reality—and they also had the opportunity to try the playground at the venue.
The visit was an inspiring experience for our colleagues as well. The children enthusiastically explored the world of architecture, while our team was delighted to show them how engineering expertise and creativity can shape the environment around us.
