TEKLA BIM Awards 2025 – Vote for the Projects of bim.GROUP and KÉSZ Metaltech!
Last year, we achieved outstanding success with the National Athletics Centre and Jedlik Ányos Secondary School—and this year, we need your support once again. Public voting has opened for the TEKLA BIM Awards 2025, where anyone can vote for the projects submitted by bim.GROUP and KÉSZ Metaltech.
This time, three projects are competing in their respective categories: one submitted independently by bim.GROUP and two joint entries from bim.GROUP and KÉSZ Metaltech.
The TEKLA BIM Awards 2025 is a prestigious international competition recognising outstanding construction projects created using Tekla Structures. Its purpose is to showcase best practices in the application of BIM technology and celebrate teams that use digital design tools innovatively within the construction industry.
The MET Arena, formerly known as the Alba Arena, is Székesfehérvár’s new iconic sports and events venue. Inaugurated in 2024, it has become a defining element of the city’s modern identity. bim.GROUP was responsible for the engineering design of the building’s complex steel structural systems and roof cladding. The structural and fabrication design work began in 2022 and was completed in 2023. The project could not have been realised without the expertise of KÉSZ Metaltech, whose colleagues were responsible for manufacturing the steel structures.
The second development has become a particularly significant project due to its ambitious sustainability objectives. KÉSZ GreenTech Solar Parking aims to unlock the untapped potential of parking areas by developing and installing an integrated photovoltaic system with a tensioned supporting structure. The solution provides not only shade but also efficient renewable energy generation.
The first step in developing this innovative solution was the concept created by sbp sonne GmbH. Its implementation was made possible through close collaboration between sbp sonne GmbH, bim.GROUP Kft. and KÉSZ Metaltech Kft. The international consortium financed and constructed the prototype in Kecskemét, creating the first operational, physical version of a system suitable for series production.
Finally, votes can also be cast for bim.GROUP’s independent entry, the Rozelle Interchange—a project that has already received several prestigious awards. Located in Sydney’s Inner West, the development transformed the former Rozelle Rail Yards into an attractive, green and liveable urban space.
bim.GROUP was proud to contribute to the delivery of the Australian Rozelle Interchange project, led by Studio Chris Fox. As part of a truly international team, our colleagues were responsible for modelling the steel structures and preparing the fabrication documentation.
