Sharing knowledge and shaping the future of construction at CONTECH 2026
How can we build a more modern, competitive and sustainable construction industry? This was the question explored at the CONTECH 2026 conference on 13 October. Now in its third year, the event brought together representatives from across the construction sector to discuss the industry’s challenges and opportunities for progress.
The construction industry is continually changing, shaped by technological advances, the growing role of digitalisation and evolving market expectations. Alongside the adoption of modern technologies, knowledge sharing, collaboration, education and dialogue between disciplines are becoming increasingly important. Professional events like CONTECH create space to exchange experience, discuss current issues and explore possible ways forward.

The conference programme focused on technological innovation, digitalisation and professional training. András Balázs Kocsis, Business Development Manager at bim.GROUP, presented on behalf of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers. His talk, “What does the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers expect from BIM—and what does BIM expect from Hungarian engineers?”, explored professional expectations around BIM and the responsibilities facing Hungarian engineers.
We believe that both technological innovation and the continued development of professional expertise are essential to the progress of the construction industry. Making the most of digital solutions and preparing the next generation of professionals are mutually reinforcing efforts that will help shape the sector’s long-term competitiveness.
We thank the CONTECH 2026 organisers for creating an opportunity for professional dialogue, and András Balázs Kocsis for his active participation and contribution to the discussion on BIM.
