The MVM Dome project won the Structure of the Year Award, and the bim.GROUP team was also recognized for their work in the structural design of the facility. Our colleagues accepted the award on site.

For bim.GROUP it is a special pleasure to receive recognition as a member of the design community for a project in which it undertook a significant engineering task. During the project, we participated in the design of the steel structures, among which the 113-meter span roof structure is one of the most defining technical elements of the building.

Designing the large-span spatial enclosure was a complex task: when developing structural solutions, manufacturability and assembly aspects had to be harmonized alongside safety and cost-effectiveness. The work was supported by BIM-based modeling and coordination.

The award, founded by the Structural Engineering Division of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, recognizes outstanding structural engineering solutions and the work of the designers behind them. For bim.GROUP, this recognition is also an important piece of feedback on the professional expertise of our colleagues and the joint work performed with project partners. Several members of bim.GROUP's structural engineering team attended the event, and the award was accepted by Csaba Lódri, the designer responsible for the project.
