Our colleagues gave another lecture at the University of Technology
Our colleague Csorba Levente, BIM Manager at bim.GROUP Kft., delivered a lecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Within the 3D Structural Design subject, students encountered the concept of BIM for the first time and heard from our colleague about its fundamentals and key importance.
As a real-life example, bim.GROUP's high-level BIM environment and workflows were presented with the aim of encouraging students to take an interest in this field. The presentation also provided a comprehensive overview of the unavoidable BIM knowledge required by structural designers of the future.
As part of the subject, students must model a simple hall structure and prepare drawings using Tekla BIM software. bim.GROUP colleagues have participated in the education on several occasions already. During the semester, our shop-design colleague Kúr Dávid will again give a lecture on parametric design and the Grasshopper-Tekla transition, providing students with insight into one of our office's defining high-end design methods.
