Our colleague received the Steel Lion Pangolin Special Award
This year's Consteel Steel Lion competition once again attracted outstanding entries. bim.GROUP entered with the Alba Arena project and brought home nothing less than the competition's special award, the Pangolin. Lewandowski Dávid entered with the Alba Arena project, using a structural analysis model built parametrically during shop design, and won the trophy, which he received at a ceremonial presentation. The parametric design team also included Szabó Ákos, responsible for geometry; Horváth Gergő, who carried out Tekla parametric modelling; and Jancsa András, who was responsible for the parametric cladding design of the facility.
"The Alba Arena project demonstrated in an exceptional way how much potential lies in the Consteel software and Pangolin. It is a pioneering technology that, through the Grasshopper environment, enables the parametric design of large-scale structures with complex geometry. The Pangolin Award is an extraordinary recognition for me and for bim.GROUP as well, because it is positive feedback on the quality of our work, and we were able to demonstrate our knowledge on an international stage," said Lewandowski Dávid, steel structure designer, regarding the award.
Once again, congratulations to the bim.GROUP colleagues.
