Sustainability and Circular Design in Focus – Our Company at the EUROSTEEL 2026 Conference
During the three days of the EUROSTEEL 2026 conference held in Kraków, our engineers gained comprehensive insights into the latest international trends shaping European steel structure design. At the event, our colleague Dr. Krisztián Király presented the findings of his doctoral research on demountable steel-concrete composite beams.
Sustainability, structural reuse, and circular design were among the central themes of this year's conference. These concepts are no longer limited to academic research; they are increasingly becoming an integral part of day-to-day engineering mindset and design decisions. Integrating these international insights directly enhances our own upcoming projects and design solutions.
Beyond the technical sessions, the event served as a valuable platform for professional networking, exchanging experiences, and establishing new international connections.
Highlighting Advanced Engineering Research on an International Stage
Our colleague, Dr. Krisztián Király, delivered a presentation titled "Research and Design of Novel Demountable Steel-Concrete Composite Beams". His paper summarized the results of his doctoral research, carried out in collaboration with KÉSZ Group, bim.GROUP, and the Department of Structural Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).
His presentation highlighted:
- the novel demountable structural system developed during the research,
- the results of experimental and numerical investigations supporting the development,
- the Eurocode-based design procedures formulated for the structural system.
The research topic aligned seamlessly with one of the key themes of EUROSTEEL 2026, which placed a strong emphasis on structural reuse and sustainable construction solutions. We would like to thank the organizers of EUROSTEEL 2026 for a highly engaging and productive conference!
