The prestigious and long-established Scientific Students’ Associations Conference of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics was held once again. Together with our strategic partner, KÉSZ Group, bim.GROUP Kft., IQ Kecskemét Kft. and MileStone Gazdasági és Mérnöki Tanácsadó Kft. recognised three outstanding student papers, contributing to the students’ professional development.
Kocsis András Balázs, Lead Design Engineer for Business Development at bim.GROUP Kft., served as a member of the judging panels in the Structural Engineering, Sustainable Construction, and Geodesy and Geoinformatics sections.
The bim.GROUP Special Award was presented to civil engineering student Sajti János, who selected a particularly complex subject for his paper entitled “Investigation of the Shear Resistance of Hybrid Girders with Trapezoidal Corrugated Webs”.
The MileStone Special Award for Sustainable Construction was presented to Fonyódi Sára for her distinctive research entitled “The Impact of Renovating Prefabricated Panel Buildings on Energy Consumption and Summer Overheating”. Sára received the award for developing scenario analyses for the climate-conscious renovation of existing buildings, helping to identify ways of making them more energy-efficient and resilient to the effects of climate change.
